Chester FC were saddened to learn of the passing of Sandra Povey last week; a hugely popular, well-loved and long serving volunteer at the Deva Stadium.
Sandra gave the club more than 30 years of service, and was always a friendly face around the ground – most recently spotted on a matchday selling 50/50 tickets.
She was always available to chat with guests to the Deva who were visiting us in the Legends Lounge. Matchdays will simply not be the same without her warm smile and presence around the ground.
Everyone at the Club would like to pass on their sincere condolences to her husband Graham, her whole family and also close friends.
RIP Sandra.
