Chester & Wirral Football League Round Up

Here's the latest update from the Chester & Wirral Football League.

Christleton FC went top of the CWFL Queensferry Premier Division on Saturday after accounting for Hoole Rangers 4-2. A double from Matt Jones was supplemented by efforts from Dan Ward and Tom Fisher as Christleton made it four wins from four to maintain their perfect start. Victor Arogundade and Aaron Eymond netted for Hoole Rangers.

Shaftsbury Youth FC made it three wins from three as they demolished Sutton rangers 9-0, Alfie Naylor bagged four, Paul Kane a hattrick and Steve Large a double.  FC Farndon hit Kelsall for five with striker Lee Parry again on the score sheet this time netting four times, Kieran Hodgkiss with the other Farndon goal in a 5-1-win, new signing Louis Clark netted Kelsall’s consolation.

In the Chester derby Blacon Youth Club had Tom Harrison and Keegon Jones on the scoresheet but Waggon & Horses replied with a hattrick from Harley Bennion and a Caleb Rose single to secure a brilliant win for Waggon.

Zacc Caveney netted a brace for Chester Nomads III but had to share a point with Moreton FC who netted via goals from Ash Jameson and Jay Ryder.

In the CWFL Olympic Trophies Championship, Cheshire Vikings secured an 8-0 victory against Orange Athletic courtesy of hattricks for both Ben Morris and Oscar Sergent and singles for Liam Keating and Billy Beasley.

Upton JFC also bagged eight without reply against Sutton Rangers Reserves, Joe Williams bagged four, Cae Mcgovern with a double and singles for both Ethan Ramsden and Connor Ireland in a result which put Upton top of the Championship.

Handbridge FC had Taylor Owen on target with a fine double but had to share a point with Neston Nomads Reserves who replied with goals from Archie Hughes and Max Donally.

Jordon Obrien and Brandon Garland netted for Waggon and Horses Reserves, but Cestrian Alex had other ideas and netted four times with Mark Blake, Jack Bailes, Chris Rowntree, and Josh Camy all bagging for Cestrian.

FC Farndon Reserves crashed to their first loss in spectacular fashion as they lost 6-0 against Hoole Rovers FC.

In the CWFL Tarvin Precision Vets Division 1, Higher Bebington Kelma Vets and Queens Park played out a close encounter and it was Kelma Vets who took the lead midway into the second half after a fine move was finished off by Greg Bearsley , but with 20 minutes to go Mike Burkey drew Queens level from close range and in the dying moments of the game Mike Mcgree netted a brilliant winner to secure the win for Queens.

In the CWFL Tarvin Precision Vets Division 2, Ellesmere Port Town Vets had Joe Crane and Luke Guest on target, but Birkenhead went one better with a double from James Atherton and a single from Victor Thurgill to win the points for Birkenhead.
