All of these players except Cutler, Prince-Navaratnam and Bennett will be playing in this fixture for the first time, with 13-year-old Eleanor Brennan set to become the youngest player to represent the League XI since Sophie Ecclestone in 2012.

Leigh v Oakmere, Porthill Park v Chester Boughton Hall & Appleton v Didsbury – All cancelled due to rain, 8pts each

Stockport Trinity’s Ellie Mason has already broken the record for the most runs in a league season, with her 2021 season total standing at 601 (and counting!). She has made a half-century in all of her Division 1 innings so far, with one century. Although she has only finished not out on one occasion, her average is still above 100 at present. Her lowest score is 55 not out in a successful run chase, with 64 being her lowest score in a league match. Mason also reached the retirement score of 30 in all bar one of Trinity’s T20 matches, with Stockport Georgians managing to dismiss her for 21.

Division Three West – August 5:

·       The weather intervened to prevent the second innings from commencing, after leaders Hawarden had posted a healthy total.

Division Three East – August 4:

Didsbury 2nd XI 34-8 (10; Claire Ashworth 4-5, Jo Seddon 2-6) (4pts)

(Didsbury revised target 57 in 10 overs)

·         After Claire Ashworth's initial burst of wickets, Didsbury always looked likely to fall short even before their reply was hit by a further rain interruption.

Woodley v Hayfield – no play due to rain on original date of July 4 and will not be re-arranged, 8pts each.

Division Four – August 3:

Stockport Georgians 2nd XI 104-5 (20; Alexandra Hartemink 31ret, Olivia Norbury 24*, Eliza Chadwick 2-14) (25pts)

·         Their latest victory meant that the Georgians second team became the first this year to clinch a divisional title.

Knockout Semi-Final - August 2:

Oakmere Kats 79-7 (20; Natalie Lyons 25*, Nalisha Patel 4-9)

·         The league’s leading teams have served up some thrilling high scoring encounters this year. This perhaps wasn’t one of them, but there was still plenty of top-quality cricket on display, and a tense finish which saw Didsbury claim their place in a second final this year. Of all the impressive bowling performances, Nalisha Patel’s was the most telling, taking a raft of early wickets to dent Oakmere’s run chase. Zara Matthews also bowled her four overs for just nine runs.
