Free tickets are available for the Cheshire West Voluntary Arts Network Awards on 16th March at Theatre Porto in Ellesmere Port.
Councillor Lisa Denson, Cabinet Member for A Fairer Future said:
“Join us celebrating the many dedicated and talented groups and individuals. The nominations are for inspiring projects, organisations, leaders, and volunteers who bring creativity to life across local communities.
“If you are interested in finding out more about the Cheshire West Community and Voluntary Arts Awards now is your chance. This is a really inspiring evening, that shares the joy and value of arts in our communities.”
The awards celebrate nominations in music, theatre, visual arts, and other art forms. Six awards will recognise projects and people that make art accessible, meaningful, and transformative across Cheshire West.
There will be live performances on the night from:
- Patchwork Choir - an inclusive, uplifting choir for adults with additional needs that meet weekly at Live! Cheshire.
- When we meet… 5 dances - a film extract from Cheshire Dance’s, Wanna Dance? project, that explores dance as a sensory, non-verbal language with participants with Profound Intellectual and Multiple Disabilities.
- Dee Sign Choir - one of the original signing choirs in the UK perform the finale at the start of British Sign Language Week.
Cheshire West Voluntary Arts Network is running the Awards event, their aim is to support, promote and advocate for Voluntary Arts organisations and their activities across the Borough.
The awards are supported by Cheshire West and Chester Council and Cheshire West Voluntary Action through a grant from the UK Government Shared Prosperity Fund.
