Cheshire West Labour Group's Response to national lockdown announcement

Following tonight's announcement from the Prime Minister, you must stay at home and follow the Government's guidance.

The Government have many questions to answer, including -

• How will they support people who are unable to work from home?
• Why are only some key workers prioritised for vaccines?
• What do alternative exam arrangements mean for students?
• Why did they reject Council requests today only to implement them nationally tonight?

The Labour Party will work locally and nationally to make sure the Government delivers for those who need it most and for those who have kept us safe. Thank-you to each and every key worker for what they have done and what they will continue to do in the weeks ahead.
