Police and Crime Commissioner John Dwyer wants to give people across Cheshire the chance to influence the way extra funding to tackle anti-social behaviour (ASB) could be spent in their area.
The Commissioner will soon be bidding for extra funding from the latest round of the government’s Safer Streets Fund and hopes to carry out a project to tackle ASB in each of Cheshire’s four Local Authority areas.
The latest statistics from Cheshire Constabulary will be used to inform the bid, alongside feedback from residents across the county via a survey, which can be taken at:

Police and Crime Commissioner, John Dwyer said:
“ASB might often be referred to as ‘low level’ but when it is persistent it can damage the way we feel about our community, and the people involved can become involved in more serious crime further down the line.
“That’s why I stress the importance of preventing and tackling ASB in my Police and Crime Plan. Dealing with ASB where it arises helps us to restore a sense of pride and reinforce a feeling of safety in communities. It also helps to prevent future crime by steering perpetrators away from a potential life of crime.
“I want residents’ views on how we can make the most effective use of additional funding to tackle ASB in their area. By sharing your views and working together we can make Cheshire even safer, so please have your say.”
The Cheshire ASB survey will close at midday on Friday 4 August and can be completed here:
