Chester FC travel to Aggborough tomorrow for a meeting with Kidderminster Harriers.
The Blues will be looking to back up a number of strong performances that have culminated in three wins on the bounce, against Spennymoor Town, Darlington, and Merthyr Town.
The Opposition
A strong season to date has left Kidderminster with a buffer of nine points between themselves and the edge of the play-off spots.
The Harriers have lost just once in 16 league games since late November, a 5-1 defeat to Macclesfield in early February, courtesy of a brace from James Edmondson and a hat-trick from D’Mani Mellor.
Adam Murray’s side have picked up maximum points from their most recent four league outings, a streak that has included dominant wins over Marine, Buxton, and Peterborough Sports.
The Gaffer
Adam Murray stepped into the Aggborough hot seat following the departure of ex-Premier League boss Phil Brown last summer.
The 44-year-old began his managerial career with Mansfield Town in 2014 before a switch to Boston United two years later.
He then coached at a variety of different clubs, such as Barnsley, West Bromwich Albion and Besiktas, before a successful return to management with AFC Fylde in 2022 where he achieved promotion after a tight title battle with King’s Lynn Town.
As a player, Murray featured for the Harriers over two spells, firstly on loan from Derby County in 2003 before a permanent move to Aggborough in 2004.
One to Watch
New signing Kieran Donnelly has made an instant impact at the club since his arrival earlier this month.
The forward sealed a move on loan from National League outfit Boston United on 6th March, before making his debut in a win over Buxton the following day, which was followed by a first goal for the Harriers during Tuesday night’s victory over Peterborough Sports.
Donnelly started his senior career with Romulus before featuring for a number of West Midlands-based clubs, including Coleshill Town, Redditch United, and Halesowen Town.
