BLUES MATCH PREVIEW: DARLINGTON v CHESTER FC

Chester FC kick off a run of six successive away games, all in the space of 17 days, this weekend at Darlington.

Calum McIntyre’s side saw their six match winning run halted last Saturday in the FA Cup against York City, but more than held their own in a battling performance against higher league opposition.

Wyll Stanway kept up his impressive clean sheet streak, which now stands at five, and the Blues turn back to the league action looking to secure a fifth straight National League North victory which could move them back into the top seven.

Tom Peers will return to the squad after being cup-tied, while new signing Christian Norton is also expected to feature.

THE OPPOSITION:

Darlington sit bottom of the National League North table with 11 points from their first 16 matches.

Josh Gowling took charge on 19th September following the departure of Alun Armstrong. The former Hereford boss claimed his first win as Manager last Saturday with a 2-1 success at Farsley Celtic. Victory this weekend could move Darlo up a couple of spots in 22nd as they look to escape the drop zone.
