This August come and play at Porto’s Peculiar Playground, a magical and unique arts & adventure trail created especially for Whitby Park, in the heart of Ellesmere Port.

For the second year running, Action Transport Theatre are bringing Whitby Park to extraordinary life with installations which surprise and delight and for 2021, this will include many ‘peculiar goings on’ and ‘curious happenings’. In addition to the interactive trail, we've got a great programme of visiting guests coming to Ellesmere Port for the first time  - along with workshops, live performances, an art gallery, sensory days, our anti-conference, Friday Theatre Days (from 1pm) and an Extravaganza event on 20th August - tickets are now available! Combining live performance, art installations and an adventure trail - we aim to capture the hearts and minds of children and grown-ups - ‘playgrounders’, of all ages, from Ellesmere Port and beyond. As part of Porto's Peculiar Playground, we are excited to announce: ‘Inside Out’. A two-part anti-conference for freelance artists interested in outdoor art experiences for children, young people and families. We are also delighted to be able to offer 20 bursaries for freelance artists, practitioners or producers to attend...   Register your interest here.
