Police officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward following a fatal collision in Barton.
At 5.50am on Saturday 14th February, police were called to reports of a collision on Barton Road in Barton.
The collision involved a white Ford Transit van which had been travelling towards North Wales.
A passenger in the vehicle, 24-year-old woman, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver and a second passenger, a 27-year-old man and a 21-year-old man, have both been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
Enquiries are currently underway to establish the exact circumstances.
Sergeant Amy Hollis of the Roads and Crime Unit, said:
“We are currently investigating the full circumstances of this sad incident and, as part of our enquiries, we would like to hear from any witnesses who have not already spoken to police.
“The same goes for anyone with any relevant dashcam or CCTV footage of what happened.
“Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of the woman who has sadly died.”
