May and June have been a very exciting time for RainbowBiz CIC. Their Hippy Shop has relocated to the heart of the Shotton and Deeside community at Chester Road West in Shotton.
We want to thank everyone who has supported us with this move. It now means the shop which delivers 100% of its profits back in to our projects now directly serves the Deeside community in which all of our projects reside.
Whilst the shop move was rapidly taking shape we also had some other exciting activities to work on.
Over the last few months directors Ian and Dave have been writing a script for a documentary all about our RainbowBiz projects. The documentary was filmed thanks to RainbowBiz CIC being accepted by the Iris prize to create a community film. A documentary that features all of our project work, the community groups and organisations we work with and also the people we support.
We have to say a huge thank you to so many who helped us during the process, Iris Film Festival, Queensferry War Memorial Institute, Ginger Pixie Photography, Ethan Gilbert Media, Kick Light & Sound, Falafel & Co and Harvies Waen Farm. We cannot wait to see the results after editing.
Throughout May and June we have had some excellent weather, allowing us to take in the wonderful sites of Wepre Park, Taliesin Park, The River Dee and The Community Woodland.
We have also managed to produce some excellent crops of onions, rhubarb, chard, kale, lettuce, celery and peas.
