A TIME TO CELEBRATE ALL THINGS CHESHIRE!

On 30th March 1300, King Edward I confirmed a charter of liberties for Cheshire. This historic moment will be celebrated this year with Cheshire Day.

Cheshire Day 2021, despite being a solely digital initiative due to lockdown, was a roaring success. Cheshire residents both past and present, fantastic Cheshire businesses and a whole host of people who have a special connection with our county went above and beyond to share digitally what they love about Cheshire. Social media was abuzz with #CheshireDay. Over 30,000 interactions were racked up as well as the hashtag reaching 14million people! This just goes to show how special Cheshire is not just to those in Cheshire, but around the world.

This year we want to show everyone a vibrant celebration of Cheshire, so it’s time to get out and about celebrating Cheshire this Cheshire Day, however you choose to do so. From visiting our fantastic attractions, eating and drinking in some of the best restaurants and bars, exploring the wonderful outdoors, or just about any way you can think of, make sure to show how you and your family (whatever shape and size) are celebrating #CheshireDay.

This year, we’re really keen to welcome as many people as possible to Cheshire, and Cheshire Day is a fantastic opportunity to showcase a warm welcome through such a vibrant celebration. This is where you come in: as part of our Cheshire Family, we want you to share how you’re getting involved with Cheshire Day by going out and enjoying Cheshire. We want you to get creative with your engagement and show the world just how much you love Cheshire – you could be in with the chance to win prizes as well.
