It’s Handbag of Harmonies 25th anniversary this year and the choir wanted to give something back to the community that has supported them for so long.
From standing on The Rows carol singing to passers-by, to performing on the main stage at DevaFest, A Handbag of Harmonies has spent the last 25 years bringing joy, music and connection to every audience. This summer, it’s time to give that joy back in a truly personal way.
In the words of the choir’s Musical Director, Matt Baker:
“This is such a special year for us and we wanted to mark it by celebrating others. From a much-loved community dance teacher, to a young boy showing incredible courage through health challenges, to a couple celebrating a lifelong love story through decades of service, the stories behind each Choirgram are extremely moving. It really promises to be a day full of meaning and memories.”
More Than Just Music:
The day will feature a joyful flower-power theme, thanks to a partnership with local florist Thistle and Thyme and a celebratory ride on the Grosvenor Park Big Wheel. It’s a chance for choir members to enjoy a group moment and capture a few special photos.
Funds raised through selling Choirgram badges, raffles and donations will go toward buying flowers for each visit. The remaining funds will be donated to Arlo’s GoFund.Me page:
