£120K LOTTERY WIN FOR ELLESMERE PORT NEIGHBOURS

Four Ellesmere Port neighbours have started the week with an amazing surprise after winning £30,000 each thanks to their postcode.

The windfall comes after CH65 6SY was announced as a winner with People’s Postcode Lottery on Monday 18th January.

One of the locals taking home £30,000 was Paul Farrall (41). He learned of his prize on a video call with People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Danyl Johnson

Paul, who works as a glazier, burst into laughter when the prize cheque was revealed: “Fantastic! Brilliant. That is exactly what we need right now!”

With a cheerful thumbs up he added: “Excellent. Couldn’t be happier!”

The dad-of-two was clearly overjoyed with the win and said: “With all this doom and gloom right now, that’s something we need in the house: a bit of positive news. The wife can finally get a new kitchen now!”

When asked how he would treat himself, Paul chuckled and said: “I want to get fit again to be honest, so an e-bike of some sort.”

Another local winner was Liam Kavanagh who recently celebrated his 30th birthday. He and his partner Amy Roberts (27) cheered when they saw the prize total. He said: “Oh amazing! Amazing!”

Liam, a trainee quantity surveyor, had a few ideas on how the winnings could be spent: “There’s endless things that it’ll go towards that it’ll help. We’ve been doing household improvements. Possibly a new car.”

Amy, a nurse with the NHS, added: “We were meant to be in New Zealand next week, obviously we’re not going but we could do it next year, and in a bit more luxury!”

Liam agreed and added: “I’m thinking a new TV!”

The other winners chose to remain anonymous but their prizes will be paid directly into their bank accounts.

People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Danyl Johnson sent his congratulations to the winners. He said: “What a brilliant way to start your week! Congratulations to all our Ellesmere Port winners, it was lovely to bring this news to Paul, Liam and Amy and I’m sure they’ll have fun with their winnings!”

Everyday throughout the January draws one postcode will be announced as a £30,000 prize winner. All the players in the postcode will win £30,000 for every ticket they hold.
