Cheshire West and Chester Council is inviting residents, business owners and people who work in Lache to a meeting at Lache Community Centre.
On Wednesday 19 October 5.30pm to 7pm, the meeting will share the views on the emerging way forward for the Lache Vision.
It would be helpful if people wishing to speak at the meeting emailed:

...to ensure everyone can be included.
Following the publication of the Lache Vision earlier this year, which came from workshops and surveys with around 500 residents and stakeholder groups, further work and engagement has been taking place with the local community.
Chair of the Steering Group, Councillor Val Armstrong, said: “We hope this event will attract people who put forward their views at the initial stage, as well as residents who have responded more recently or just want to know more about how we have listened and responded to their comments.
“We also very much welcome people to come forward with new suggestions to make the ward a great place to live or work.
“The proposals are open for further discussion. I want to ensure the Lache Vision reflects the aspirations and ideas of residents.”
In advance of the meeting, the emerging priorities from the review have been shared so that residents can see the suggested way forward. These are:
- The Baccies/LAPA Field – the proposal is to maintain and improve this area for wildlife and for residents to enjoy. The proposal does not include building any new housing.
- Community Centre – the emerging proposal is to refurbish the existing building, not to re-build a new centre with apartments on the first floor.
- Sycamore Road Park – new children’s play equipment to be a priority for the park.
- Traffic/road improvements on Hawthorn Road and Poplar Place –understanding options to better manage traffic, making it safer to walk or cycle, and improving the way the area looks and feels.
The aim of the process is to set a vision for the area, so the Council is well placed to find funding for future improvements or actions.
