One of the greatest fighters in mixed martial arts history has visited Chester and North Wales.
Former UFC Welterweight and Middleweight Champion Georges St-Pierre gave a training masterclass to fans at the Combat Sports Agency gym in Deeside, North Wales.
The Canadian UFC legend also met hundreds of fans at an event hosted by the Izakaya Lounge in Chester including winners of a Love Hemp and Sporf competition to spend an afternoon with the man who has been described as “The perfect fighting machine”.
The events were organised by Love Hemp, Britain’s fastest growing premium CBD brand, which sponsors Georges St-Pierre, who was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame in September.
Love Hemp is also the official global CBD partner of the UFC, the world’s premier mixed martial arts organisation.
Love Hemp recently opened a satellite headquarters in Manchester as it gears up for global expansion. Its new Manchester base is the marketing and creative hub for the company, which counts boxing legend Anthony Joshua as an investor.
Ian Munzberger, Love Hemp’s Chief Partnerships Officer, said: “We love bringing stars like Georges St-Pierre to exclusive events like this.
“It’s a chance for fans to not only meet their heroes but, for our competition winners, to attend unique masterclasses and to train alongside world-leading athletes.”
Georges St-Pierre, who is a fan of Love Hemp’s CBD Infused Body Salve, said: “It was my first time in the North West and it was great to visit the beautiful city of Chester and to see North Wales. It was exciting to experience the huge interest in mixed martial arts in the region. The support that Love Hemp is giving to the sport is making a big difference.”
Founded by entrepreneurs Tony Calamita and Tom Rowland, Love Hemp sells over 40 products including oils, edibles, sprays, cosmetics and topicals.
The company’s range of products are sold online across 70 websites and in over 2,000 stores including some of the biggest retailers in the UK, such as Holland & Barrett, Boots and Ocado.
