Next Sunday (3rd October) is a special occasion for Chester FC Women, who face Salford City Lionesses in the Women’s FA Cup at the Deva Stadium.
The players and coaches are very much looking forward to the challenge and the opportunity to play at the stadium, and it would be fantastic to see a healthy number of our supporters turning out to cheer them on.
The women’s game has grown significantly in terms of both participation and profile in recent years, and it is an area of the club we want to continue to grow and develop. Indeed we now have two open age teams and a very successful girls programme with around 100 players, which is a good achievement in a short space of time.
We are fortunate to have a wonderfully committed and talented group of players and volunteers involved in our women’s section, who are very proud to represent the club.
The Women’s FA Cup is the showpiece competition and no doubt Salford will provide a tough test, but we know the team is looking forward to the game.
Admission is just £3 for adults and £1 for concessions with the match kicking off at 2pm. Your support will be very much appreciated by the players!
