Their Policing Team were joined by Chief Inspector Parry for their team morning briefing yesterday.
During the briefing we set out our plans for the day – some of the tasks set included us keeping the pressure on someone wanted for several offences and for our teams increase patrols at an address in the Aston area where persons have targeted vehicles at a site over the past week. As you can imagine, comments were exchanged about us looking for the conventional burglar with their SWAG bag, balaclava, torch etc.
We talked about our plans to be visible and accessible at key times, at key locations. The team secured the force engagement van which has been deployed to several locations across the district. I am grateful for Abakhan in Mostyn for allowing us to use their car park yesterday and Flint Retail Park the previous days. The feedback received has been positive – thank you for those that came over to say hello, it has helped us to gain a better understanding for the things going on in your community.
I managed to meet with the Connahs Quay County Councillors to put faces to names, agree our initial priorities and how we will work together on community issues. I had a very warm welcome and I look forward to working with them and our partners all to solve problems within our communities. I shared some of the good news that the team have been doing in the area.
Our Policing team had a busy day hunting for wanted people and dealing with day to day events. I wake this morning to what I initially thought was a joke – our team actually found the conventional burglary. A chap has been found with the full burglar kit (and more) and is now enjoying the pleasures that Llay custody offer alongside the wanted person who was also arrested.
Our Policing Team will be around the Holway, Holywell and working from the Community House if you want to come in and say hello.
