We are piecing together as much information as we can to establish exactly what has happened and to locate the person responsible. Officers have already spoken to a number of people at the scene and enquiries have been ongoing throughout the night.
“I would urge anyone who was driving in the area around that time and who may have seen something and have not yet come forward to please get in touch. I’d also like to hear from anyone who has dashcam footage that may have captured something before or after the incident, which could help the investigation.
“Even the smallest amount of information can be crucial when piecing together a case.”
