A local community theatre company is preparing to stage a festive concert in the historic surroundings of a Chester city centre arts venue.
Following the success of last year's inaugural event, Chester and Wrexham-based Tip Top Productions is set to stage its second Christmas concert at St Mary's Creative Space in Chester on Sunday 8th and Monday 9th December at 7.30pm.
Featuring a choir formed of Tip Top Productions members, all of whom have a wealth of musical theatre experience, the concert will include a mix of carols, festive pop songs, music from familiar Christmas films and songs from wintery musicals.
Speaking about the concert, Musical Director Tim Jones said:
"Following the success of last year's concert, we are back in the beautiful surroundings of St Mary's Creative Space for two festive evenings of songs, readings and poems. Pieces being sung by the choir range from the traditional Sussex Carol and music by John Rutter to songs from Polar Express and Home Alone 2. There may even be a chance for audience participation! We look forward to welcoming everyone to this special celebration of the festive season."
Final rehearsals are also underway for Tip Top's traditional family friendly Pantomime "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" which runs at the William Aston Hall in Wrexham from Thursday 5th - Saturday 7th December.
