Three men have been charged following an investigation into threats made to occupants of an address in Blacon.
At 6.59pm on Tuesday 4 October police were called to an address in Hatton Road, Blacon following reports of a disturbance.
As part of ongoing enquiries into the incident, four men were arrested. A 40-year-old man from Warrington was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence on 13 October and has since been bailed pending further enquiries. Three other men have since been charged.
Jay Roberts, 30, of Nelson Road, Ellesmere Port was arrested on 5 October and later charged with two counts of possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence. He appeared at Chester Magistrates on 7 October and was remanded in custody to appear at Chester Crown Court on 4 November.
Gerard Bailey, 51, from Malvern Road, St Helen’s was arrested on 7 October and later charged with two counts of possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, and one count of possession of a prohibited weapon. He appeared at Chester Magistrates on 8 October and was remanded in custody to appear at Chester Crown Court on 4 November.
Anthony Moorcroft, 52, from Eleanor Road, Bidston was arrested on 12 October and later charged with conspiracy to possess a firearm with intent to endanger life. He appeared at Chester Magistrates on 14 October and was remanded in custody to appear at Chester Crown Court on 11 November.
