Earlier this month, The Potions Cauldron Group announced that they would be opening The Hole in Wand Chester in the heart of the city on Eastgate Street in between the Chester Cross and The Eastgate Clock, making it Chester's newest and most magical attraction.
The attraction is part of award winning The Potions Cauldron Group’s continuing expansion. The group celebrated 5 magical years in October 2023 and already has ‘The Hole In Wand’ mini golf attractions in both York and Blackpool as well as retail outlets under ‘The Potions Cauldron’ brand in the historic cities of York and Edinburgh.
With prices starting from only 6.99 per person and each player will receive one of the signature potions to take away worth 3.49 made by The Potions Cauldron Group depending on their score including the award winning Basilisk Blood, Tears of a Wizard, Unicorn Essence and Serpents Venom.
The attraction is set to be open all year round in order to compliment the current offerings to both tourists to the city as well as local residents whilst creating some magical memories. There will be local elements including a hole centred around the Cathedral, one around the Eastgate Clock and another set around the legend of Alderley Edge.
Since announcing the opening the team have been busy finding Wizards and Witches to join the team and help create magical experiences and are pleased that a team of 10 have been recruited.
Group Operations Manager Sam Budworth said:
“With over 500 applicants for the 3 advertised roles which included the Chief Wizard (Site Manager) we believe that we have a strong team ready to welcome our guests at The Hole In Wand Chester’.
Managing Director Stuart Jarman added:
The city of Chester has welcomed us with open arms, we have met with many key stakeholders and businesses and I have no doubt we will work together well and be able to enhance to visitor offer to the city for both residents and those that visit. We are also currently engaging with local contractors and suppliers as we are keen to support the local economy of Chester. The attraction is currently being build off site and on site works will commence at the end of April.
