Tarmac and The Cheshire Freemasons make all the difference at The Joshua Tree

Children’s cancer charity The Joshua Tree has been overwhelmed by the generosity of Tarmac and the Cheshire Freemasons who have made a considerable donation to complete the new support centre.

Tarmac and its suppliers pulled together to install a new car park and access road for Cheshire based children’s charity, The Joshua Tree. Operating across the North West and North Wales, the charity is dedicated to working closely with families affected by childhood cancers.

Due to COVID-19 the charity has been unable to establish normal fundraising activities to complete the access road and car park to the centre. The incredible generality of the Cheshire Freemasons and Tarmac able to step in allowed for the completion of the new car park and access road to the purpose built support centre in Sandiway. 

Peter Hyde, highways services director at Tarmac said: “We are delighted we could be of assistance to this fantastic cause. The Joshua Tree is a charity which recognises every family’s cancer journey is unique, and not only works with the children themselves but the whole family too. The overall assistance provided by the charity is truly invaluable, and we are very pleased we were able to provide some support in getting the project completed.”

Piers McLeish, CEO at The Joshua Tree commented: “We really are incredibly grateful to Tarmac and the Cheshire Freemasons for their enormous generosity and support in helping us complete the new centre. Having the access road and car park ready to safely welcome families to the new centre is the final major element in the completion of the new centre.”
