Cheshire West and Chester Council has launched a website and marketing campaign for Ellesmere Port Market.
The new website features profiles of 30 market traders along with specially commissioned photography and contact details, see more at: www.ellesmereport.market
New signage has also been installed in the car park to help locate the main entrance and a bus advertising campaign is now underway in the run-up to Christmas to help further raise awareness.
Ellesmere Port Market offers a fabulous array of stalls offering fresh produce, giftware, household goods, fashion and services catering for all tastes and needs; all in a modern and bright building, located near Asda and the Port Arcades shopping centre, with lots of parking nearby and great public transport links.
In addition, there is a large food court with four cafes and outdoor seating; joining the main market is the ever-popular indoor Flea Market area, with traders dealing in all manner of second-hand goods.
The market’s traders have always offered great value and service to their customers, none more so than during the pandemic when they were able to offer home deliveries and particularly ensure grocery and food was available to those shielding or unable to travel to the market. Many have continued to offer this service.
During the current lockdown period, the market remains open to sell essential food and takeaway food only. Non-essential goods can be pre-ordered for collection or delivery. Contact traders directly to arrange.
Councillor Karen Shore, Deputy Leader of the Council said: “I am delighted to see the market benefitting from additional promotion, the traders have decades of experience and really go the extra mile to help customers find what they want and provide the great service.
“They pride themselves on getting to know their customers, many live locally and are dedicated to serving the Ellesmere Port community; please follow the current guidelines regarding face coverings and social distancing and help us keep the market Covid secure.”
The market is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday: 8am - 5pm; plus Sunday: 10am - 4pm and closed on Wednesday. The Flea Market is temporarily closed.
There are also vacancies for new traders; becoming a market trader is a low cost, low risk way of starting up in business with short term leases and very competitive rents available. You will be surrounded by experienced, knowledgeable traders with whom you can learn from, as well as benefiting from expert advice from the market management team and site staff.
