For many Christmas is a time of joy and relaxation with family and friends, but unfortunately this isn’t the case for lots of families across the country. Working closely with their charity partners across the UK, Swansway has returned this December with their Santa Patrol, donating Christmas gifts to those in need. Ranging from toys to selection boxes, and winter essentials such as hats, gloves and scarves. Working alongside Homestart [Birmingham], The Wish Centre [Blackburn] BACKUP North West, Bolton Lions, Endeavour Project, Fortalice, St Peter and St Paul’s RC Primary School [Bolton], Cumbria Family Support [Carlisle], Kidsbank Chester, The Wingate Centre and The Wishing Well [Crewe], Nugent [Liverpool], Reach out the Community [Oldham], The Foxton Centre [Preston], Staffordshire Women’s Aid [Stafford], The Gingerbread Centre [Stoke], Family Friends [Wrexham] and Homestart-HOST [Bolton, Oldham and Stockport]. Mabyn Meredith, Head of Children and Families at the Wishing Well commented: “I would like to say thank you to Swansway for your continued support with the children’s and families’ projects, your generosity and support has helped to make so many children happy and will continue to do so over the Christmas period. We appreciate you choosing us as one of your charity partners, everyone at Swansway is always very friendly and it’s a pleasure to have connections with such a supportive local business.” Charlotte Almond, Strategy and Business Development Manager at Staffordshire Women’s Aid said; “Thank you so much to Swansway Motor Group, their donation was just what we needed. We appreciate your continued support of Staffordshire Women’s Aid. The team send festive wishes to all at Swansway!” Nafisa Gharda, Senior Family & Volunteer Co-ordinator from Homestart Birmingham North and Inner City added: “Swansway Motor Group have been essential in helping us this Christmas. We have started wrapping some of the presents to take to the families we support, and the essential items such as moses baskets will help those who are expecting children in the very near future.” Swansway Motor Group Director David Smyth summarised; “It has been a difficult year for many people and we hope that our Santa Patrol donations bring a smile to the faces of those who are most in need. It’s important to us all at Swansway that we support our charity partners all year round, but to be able to round up 2022 by putting a gift under the tree for those who would usually go without is just as important, it’s a gift from our Swansway family to the families in need.” Here |
