A Shropshire accountant, specialising in tax and business solutions, is opening a new office in Chester and will be bringing jobs to the city.
Welch and Ellis, which is based in Oswestry, Shropshire, and offers general accountancy services including payroll, bookkeeping and VAT as well as specialising in tax planning is proud to announce the opening of a new office on Chester Business Park.
The new site at the Regus building on Heron Way, Chester, will initially just be a virtual base due to Covid 19 and will only be used for urgent meetings which cannot be done via Zoom. However, Welch and Ellis will be looking to recruit for a number of roles in the area with staff working from home initially and then being a mixture of home and office based when it become safe to do so probably into 2021.
Rob Ellis who is the managing partner of Welsh and Ellis, which is in Willow Street, Oswesty, said: “We’re incredibly happy to be opening this new location and look forward to welcoming fresh talent onto the Welch and Ellis team.
“These are difficult times for everyone due to the Covid 19 and the recession which it has led to but I am confident we can help new and established business in and around Chester get through this difficult period as we offer so much more support than the average accountants.
“We help clients with everything from grants and mortgage applications to business valuations and regular tax reviews and are happy to also offer some free marketing support through a local firm we work with.”
Rob believes it would be difficult to find a company with a better ethos and attitude towards its staff and the community, demonstrated by regular charity fundraising and the fact staff are encouraged to volunteer during their working hours are paid by Welch and Ellis, so they can afford to do so.
The company encourages flexible and part-time working, and with when Covid 19 restrictions ease new recruits can look forward to working from home and across two offices so they feel a part of the small but extended company.
Rob added said: “I’m immensely proud of the growth we have achieved at Welch and Ellis given we are a small family run firm. With our latest base opening, it is great to be part of the North West’s thriving community, and benefit from some of the best talent in the country.”
