Children, young people and families can share their views about services for them across Cheshire West and Chester this spring.
Cheshire West and Chester Council is asking residents what they think of the borough’s Starting Well service.
This service supports children and young people aged up to 19, or 25 if they have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), and their families or carers.
Cllr Adam Langan, Cheshire West and Chester Council’s Cabinet Member for Children and Young People, said:
“We want to hear from families who use our Starting Well service in the borough to hear about what works well for them, and what could work better.
“We also want to hear from those families who don’t use the service so that we can understand why.”
Starting Well includes Children’s Centres, health visitors, and school nurses.
Services are based mainly in Children’s Centres but also provide support in family homes and in schools.
Cllr Langan said:
“As a Council, one of our missions for the borough is to help provide the best start for our children and young people – our Starting Well service has an essential part to play in that.
“We’re keen to make sure that the service meets the needs of our residents, so this is a great opportunity to share your thoughts in advance of a public consultation later this year.”
