The first month of 2026 has seen local MP, Samantha Dixon and her team mark the return of more than £1.5 million back to local residents.
The total sum of £1,571,638.95 reflects money successfully recovered for constituents following casework support provided by Samantha and her team. This includes underpaid or missing benefit entitlements, compensation payments, refunds from organisations, and other funds owed. The true figure may be even higher, as not all residents report back once their cases are resolved.
Commenting on the milestone, Samantha Dixon MP said:
“I am always pleased when my hardworking caseworkers and I can help money that is owed make its way back into local residents’ pockets. It is wrong that so many people are not receiving money to which they are entitled, and as their local representative I will always do everything I can to make representations on their behalf and put that right.”
Samantha Dixon was elected in December 2022 for the former constituency of City of Chester. She now represents Chester North and Neston which includes the city and communities of Blacon, Upton, Hoole, Boughton, Saughall and Mollington as well as Neston, Parkgate and Willaston.
