There has been an increase in sheep attacks caused by loose dogs getting into fields.
| Please always report any sheep worrying or attacks to us. This can be easily avoided by keeping dogs under control when you are out walking. Due to the darker nights, please consider wearing high viz if you are out on the roads on a horse or cycling. This makes a huge difference to visibility for drivers and for everyone’s safety on the road. We have had a few reports of fuel thefts. Using locks, tank alerts and alarms will all help deter a criminal that it is too risky and time consuming. Please consider your outbuilding security. On our southern border, we have had reports of items being stolen from them – motorcross bike, quad, pedal cycles and power tools. GPS tractor dome thefts – we are still receiving calls relating to these guidance systems. Please consider removing them when they are not in use to prevent them from getting stolen. We are trying to build the Rural Watch community so please pass the link onto your neighbours and family. With a large geographical area of Cheshire being classed as rural, the more people sharing information and looking out for criminality the better www.cheshirepolicealert.co.uk |
