Post Office has agreed to relocate Broughton Post to Thrifty’s, 7 Broughton Hall Road, Broughton, Chester, CH4 0QR early next year, where it will continue to operate as one of our local style branches.
The current branch will close on Monday 17 January at 5pm with the new branch opening on Friday 21 January at 8am.
During the transfer alternative branches include:
- Hawarden Post Office, 1 The Highway, Hawarden, Deeside, CH5 3DG
- Dodleston Post Office, Kennerton Road, Dodleston, Chester, CH4 9LP
The Postmaster has identified an opportunity to move this branch into an alternative new location to continue to offer Post Office services to the local community and with extended opening hours.
There will be two Post Office counters alongside the retail counter.
The new agreed opening hours will be Monday to Friday: 8am – 8pm; Saturday: 9am – 2pm; This is 65 hours of Post Office service a week.
This is longer opening hours than currently as the branch would open earlier and close later on weekdays for the convenience of customers. This would be an extra 17 hours and 30 minutes of Post Office service a week.
The current branch is already in Broughton Hall Road – around 30 metres away.
