Final preparations are underway at a Cheshire School for its upcoming production of a popular musical based on a much-loved award-winning film.
Students at The Grange Senior School in Hartford near Northwich will take to the stage for a special production of "Ghost The Musical" which runs at The Grange Theatre from Wednesday 25th - Saturday 28th January at 7.00pm with a Matinee performance at 1.30pm on Saturday 28th January.
Based on the Osar winning film which famously starred Patrick Swayze, Demi Moore and Whoopi Goldberg and featuring the iconic song "Unchained Melody", "Ghost The Musical" was adapted for the stage by the film's original award-winning screenwriter Bruce Joel Rubin and features music and lyrics by pop legend Dave Stewart together with Glen Ballard. It tells the story of Sam and Molly, a young couple whose connection takes a shocking turn after Sam’s untimely death. Trapped between two worlds, Sam refuses to leave Molly when he learns she is in grave danger. Desperate to communicate with her, he turns to a storefront psychic, Oda Mae Brown, who helps him protect Molly and avenge his death.
Speaking about The Grange Senior School's production, Paul Edwards, Manager of The Grange Theatre said " Ghost The Musical" features elements of comedy, suspense, and deeply felt emotion, all of which blend to an ethereal climax that audiences will never forget. We are very much looking forward to the students bringing the show to the stage, they have all worked so hard and its going to be a show not to be missed."
