Chester FC’s 2020/21 pre-season schedule gets underway this afternoon with a trip to Northern Premier side Radcliffe.
It starts a run of what currently stands at six away pre-season friendlies between now and the end of September – although further games are expected to be announced in due course.
The Blues have kept the exciting crop of players that finished inside the Play-Off places last season – and Anthony Johnson and Bernard Morley will be hoping for more of the same from their close-knit squad this time around.
Today presents a good opportunity for players to gain fitness and slowly work their way back to their best ahead of the proposed competitive start date of Saturday 3rd October.
Bern and Jonno currently have 17 players at their disposal for the opener at the Neuven Stadium this afternoon – with minutes under the belt the key for the first team squad. It also gives the bosses the opportunity to run the rule over some trialists.
