Police have released an e-fit of a man they want to speak to in connection with an investigation into an indecent exposure in Ellesmere Port.
A woman had been walking her dog along Hillside Drive when a man ran out of Rivacre woods towards her and exposed himself.
He didn’t say anything to her and ran back into the woods when her dog barked at him.
The man was holding a small folding knife at the time.
It occurred shortly after 10pm on Wednesday 9 February.
The man is described as white, approximately 6’ in height, of a very slim build and in his early 30’s. He is described as having very distinctive large round eyes.
He was wearing a plain, dark, baseball cap and had long shoulder length curly hair which was sticking out the sides of the cap.
He was also wearing a full-length dark trench coat, possibly leather material as it appeared to be shiny, and he was completely naked under the coat.
PC Mark Bell, of Ellesmere Port local policing unit, said: “Since the incident was reported we have been carrying out a number of enquiries including viewing CCTV footage and doorbell cameras as well as speaking to a number of people in the area.
“Following that we think the man in the e-fit may have information that could assist with our investigation.
“I would urge anyone who may recognise the identity of the man to please come forward and I would also appeal directly to him to get in touch.
“This is clearly concerning behaviour and although we haven’t received any further reports it is important we speak to this man.
“If you have information, CCTV or dashcam footage that may be of use to the investigation and you have not yet spoken to an officer please do contact us.”
