Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision in Tattenhall.
At 8.10pm on Tuesday 20th January a Jeep Wrangler was being driven along Burwaldsley Road when it mounted the verge and collided with a group of runners.
Several people were injured, with hospital treatment required for a number of them. At least two people have been seriously injured.
The driver of the Jeep, a 76-year-old man, has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
Inspector Andy Dennison said:
“Cheshire police are treating this incident as a road traffic collision. I’d urge anyone who witnessed the collision and has not yet spoken to police to contact us.
“The same goes for anyone who was driving in the area or Burwardsley Road and saw the runners or the Jeep.”
