Police in Chester are appealing for information and witnesses following a serious collision.
At around 5.12pm on Tuesday 12th November, officers in Chester responded to reports of a road traffic collision in Chester.
Officers attended the scene, on Wrexham Road in Chester, and found that a collision had occurred between a grey Nissan Qashqai and a pedestrian.
The pedestrian, an 11-year-old boy, sustained serious injuries and was treated at the scene before being taken to Alder Hey hospital for further treatment. His injuries are thought to be life-threatening.
The driver of the Nissan, a 28-year-old woman from Wrexham, was not injured during the incident.
No arrests have been made.
As part of ongoing enquiries, officers are now appealing for witnesses or anyone with information or CCTV footage to come forward.
Inspector Anton Sullivan, of the Constabulary's Roads and Crime Unit, said:
"I understand that this is a considerably distressing incident and our thoughts remain with the victim’s family.
"As part of our enquiries to establish the circumstances that led up to the collision, we are asking for anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or has any information about it, to please contact us.
"The same goes for anyone who may have captured the incident on dashcam or on CCTV."
