In order to carry out repairs to the sandstone wall and road edge Cheshire West and Chester Council will need to close the A41 overnight at Milton Green.
Following damage caused by a vehicle impact a few weeks ago, temporary traffic lights are currently in place as a safety precaution at the grade II listed bridge on the A41 at Milton Green.
In order to carry out repairs to the sandstone wall and road edge Cheshire West and Chester Council will need to close the A41 overnight at Milton Green.
The night closures will be on 4 and 5 March and are also planned from 16 to to 28 March, from 7pm in the evening to 5.30am in the morning.
The signed diversion route will send traffic towards Nantwich via the A51, and A534. The section of the A49 between Ridley and Tarporley has a low bridge at Beeston/Tiverton (4.3m, 14ft 3in).
Councillor Karen Shore, Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Environment, Highways and Strategic Transport said: “The closures are necessary because the road is too narrow for the work to be carried out safely using lane closures only. We apologise for any inconvenience these closures cause.”
