An Open Day is being held at a new natural burial ground due to open next month in Cheshire.
Visitors are welcome to attend the Open Day at Monument Meadow Natural Burial Ground in Farndon, Cheshire on Friday 17 September 11am-12.30pm.
Landowner Barnston Estate has created Monument Meadow to replace the burial ground at St Chad’s in the village. The natural burial ground will also be made available for residents of surrounding villages.
The five-acre natural burial ground is set amid a wildflower meadow with an oak framed pavilion, landscaped footpaths and charming views across rolling countryside and the Clwydian Range.
A variety of sustainable funeral options will be available, including natural burial and scattering of ashes.
Natural burial enables people to choose a funeral which is unique, in tune with nature and gentle on the environment.
Monument Meadow Natural Burial Ground is due to open next month.
