Officers are appealing to the public to help identify two women following reports of a suspicious incident in Ellesmere Port.
At around 10.30pm on Wednesday 22 May officers were called to reports of an incident involving four men and two women on Princes Road walking onto Hampton Gardens.
Patrols quickly attended the scene, but on arrival they were unable to locate the six people involved.
Officers spoke to a number of witnesses at the scene and as part of their investigation they are now appealing to locate the two women.
Detective Sergeant Damian Tierney said: “Our investigation into the incident is currently in its early stages and we are working hard to establish exactly what has taken place.
“As part of this we are keen to locate the two women who were at the scene as I believe they may hold vital information.
“I am also keen to hear from anyone who was in the area and may be able to assist with our investigation.
“We would also like to hear from anyone who has CCTV or dashcam footage that may be relevant to our investigation.”
