North Wales Police have been receiving reports regarding the theft of mobile phones over the weekend across Flintshire.
They are encouraging members of the public to ensure that extra care is taken when leaving mobile phones in bags when in a public place.
Please ensure you do the following to ensure your mobile is not stolen,
- If leaving your phone in a handbag/rucksack ensure that it is not left open and at the very least zipped/closed shut.
- Consider buying a lanyard for your mobile phone to attach it onto a belt loop.
- Do not "advertise" your phone to criminals, only use your phone in a public place if needed.
- Consider buying "handsfree" ear phones so you can take calls without taking your mobile phone out.
- Sign up and register your mobile phone to "Immobilise", this is a free online property register which allows your mobile phone (if stolen) to be traced back to you.
If you would like any further information on Immobilise or mobile security please feel free to contact me on Community Alert or Email:
