Chester FC Women will be looking to return to winning ways this weekend, as they face an away trip to Hindley Juniors FC Women.
The Blues are currently without a win in their last four games in all competitions, something that manager Martin Fitzsimons will be hoping comes to an end this weekend.
The Seals suffered late heartbreak last time out, conceding an injury time winner in a five-goal-thriller against Wythenshawe, a win that condemned Chester to back-to-back defeats in the league for the first time this season.
Following last weekend’s defeat, Chester currently occupy 5th place in the league with 10 points from 6 games. Sunday’s opponents Hindley have endured a challenging campaign to date with them sitting at the bottom of the table, and currently winless in the league.
STAT ATTACK
- Chester maintained their 100% record last weekend of scoring in every league game so far this season.
- Hindley Juniors have only picked up 1 point this season in the league to date, a 3-3 draw against Warrington Wolves
- A win on Sunday could see Chester move up to 4th place in the table

Martin Fitzsimons’ Thoughts
“We’ve hit a challenging patch. And on paper, it doesn’t look great, but when you see 2 games have had good performances against higher opposition you can start to see what we’re building. This year was always going to be a transition year and it’s a very competitive league.
We’re fortunate enough you have a very determined group so, as always, we’ve put in some hard graft at training. Now it’s about transferring it onto the pitch”
