With back-to-back wins, for the first time this season, the Blues will look to kick on even further when they visit Gloucester this evening.
Saturday’s 4-0 win, coupled with the victory at Blyth prior, has seen Chester move up to 16th in the table. They could climb another place with a third success in a row this midweek.
Manager Steve Watson was forced into his three subs over the weekend, and all in the defence. Danny Livesey sustained a fractured collarbone and will be unavailable. Kev Roberts went off due to illness and Matty Williams hamstring, so will both be assessed ahead of Tuesday night – as well as the skipper George Glendon who was a late withdrawal prior to Kettering after also being unwell.
Gloucester were also victorious over the weekend, a 2-1 away win at Bradford (PA). The reverse fixture back in October had plenty of late drama, as the Blues scored a 98th minute winner to claim all three points.
Kick off this Tuesday night is 7.45pm.
