The Blues look to use their FA Cup form to springboard their push up the National League North table, starting this weekend when they host Peterborough Sports.
Chester’s never say die attitude shone through last weekend in the cup against Nantwich Town, as Charlie Caton’s 94th minute strike set up a 4QR tie with Hartlepool United.
The goal was Caton’s fourth in the month of September, a solid return for the Blues’ number nine.
Calum McIntyre can welcome back Liam Edwards to his squad this weekend, who served his one-match suspension last Saturday.
THE OPPOSITION:
Joint Player/Managers Michael Gash and Luke Steele took over at Sports when Jimmy Dean departed for Scunthorpe United.
The duo won the NLN Manager of the Month award for March 2023, in a month which included a 1-0 win here on the 14th.
Peterborough have won just twice this season, both back in August, and sit second from bottom. They were knocked out of the FA Cup in a midweek replay at Needham Market.
