The Blues face Gloucester City this weekend at the Leap76 Stadium in search of their first points of the new year.
Saturday’s defeat at home to Rushall Olympic was a first loss down CH1 since the start of September, and the first goal the Blues have conceded at home since 7th October.
The Blues have more options for selection this weekend, as Nathan Woodthorpe returned from an impressive loan at Marine and is expected to be in the squad.
Forward Zack Clarke is also back from Caernarfon after scoring nine goals in 21 games, although is a slight doubt for the game due to an ankle injury sustained in his last match for the Welsh side.
THE OPPOSITION
Mike Cook’s side currently sit in 22nd place in the National League North table, with five wins so far this term.
They picked up one point from six during their festive double header with high-flying Hereford, before looking to be on course for victory last weekend at home to Southport – as they led 2-0 in the 82nd minute – however conceded twice late on to be held to a draw.
This is the first time the two sides have met this season, having drawn both games 1-1 last campaign as both the Blues and the Tigers made the Play-Offs.
