The Blues will be looking to build on their perfect start to 2021, as they travel to Yorkshire to face Bradford (Park Avenue), seven days later than originally anticipated.
Last Saturday’s game between the two clubs was postponed due to a frozen pitch and heavy snow. However, the second attempt at this fixture is subject to a 10am pitch inspection.

Home wins against AFC Telford and Guiseley have yielded four goals and two clean sheets to start the New Year – moving Bern and Jonno’s men up to 2nd in the National League North table in the process.
Our victory against Guiseley was perhaps a different kind of significant. A goal to the good, the Blues were reduced to ten men after Simon Grand was incorrectly sent off by the Referee. Nevertheless, led by 19-year-old loanee Connor Taylor at the heart of defence – they were resolute in defence to pick up a gutsy three points.
As expected, Grand’s red card was overturned on appeal. Kevin Roberts got the goal, his first of the season, and could be in line to make his 50th appearance for the reformed club at BPA.
Bradford sit 15th, and played their first game since 28th December in midweek – drawing 1-1 with promotion hopefuls Boston. Their home form is good, as the game before that saw them defeat big spending York City 4-2 – and they have beaten the Blues in the last two seasons at the Horsfall Stadium.
The two sides have already met once this season. Last month at the Deva, Chester were victorious 3-1 in the FA Trophy. George Waring, Anthony Dudley and Will Goodwin were on the scoresheet – while BPA bagged a late consolation through Lewis Knight. Knight has six goals in his last six league appearances.
Kick off at the Horsfall Stadium is 3pm. This match is being played behind closed doors.
Bradford (PA) will be live streaming the game for £5 – follow the link at the bottom of the article for more info.
