The Blues head to the North East this weekend looking to find an important three points with just 12 games now remaining this season.
Blyth Spartans are the hosts, a side who sit one place and one point below the Blues in the National League North table.
Despite an encouraging second half performance last Saturday, Steve Watson’s side failed to take their chances and went down 2-1 at home to Chorley. Marcus Dackers’ penalty made it three goals for him since he joined on loan from Salford City in January.
George Waring and Anthony Dudley are both expected to miss out after not training on Thursday evening, but the remainder of the squad are anticipated to be available for selection. The squad has also be bolstered by the signing of Matty Waters this week, who returned to the club on an initial one-month loan from Curzon Ashton.
Chester will take encouragement from the reverse fixture back in September, as a spectacular second half display saw five goals lead the Seals to victory.
JJ O’Donnell struck in the first half for Blyth, before second 45 goals from Declan Weeks, George Waring, Anthony Dudley, Matty Williams and Jack Redshaw saw us take all three points.
Kick off this Saturday afternoon is 3pm.
