
The Masonic Province of Cheshire, the inaugural province of its kind in England,has announced a series of special events to commemorate its momentous 300th anniversary.
These historic celebrations are set to take place in Chester on Saturday, June 7th.
The day will be marked by three significant gatherings, uniting members, families, and representatives from across the Province and the country.
The day's proceedings will commence with a Service of Thanksgiving at Chester Cathedral. Chester Cathedral, revered for its multifaceted identity as a vibrant community of worship, an ancient abbey, an archaeological treasure, a cultural hub, a centre of musical excellence, and a unique blend of medieval and modern history, will provide a magnificent setting. Over 1000 Freemasons and their families are expected to attend, joining senior Masons from throughout the country, including Jonathan Spence, a very high-ranking officer of the United Grand Lodge of England.
Following the service, the Freemasons will proceed to Chester Town Hall for a very special meeting of the Cheshire Provincial Grand Lodge. Both the Service of Thanksgiving and the Provincial Grand Lodge Meeting will showcase the highest standards of Masonic ceremonial.
Once the ceremonial aspects of the day conclude, attention will turn to two exclusive evening dinners, held concurrently at the Grosvenor Hotel and the Crowne Plaza Hotel. These dinners are open to all Freemasons and their families.

At the end of the service, the Freemasons will make their way to Chester Town Hall for a very special meeting of the Cheshire Provincial Grand Lodge.
Both events will display the highest standard of masonic ceremonial.
Once the ceremonial side of the day is over, attention will turn to 2 evening dinners. One at the Grosvenor Hotel and one at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. These are open to all Freemasons and their families.

Service of Thanksgiving - Chester Cathedral 2:00 pm - 3:30pm
Provincial Grand Lodge Meeting - Chester Town Hall 4.30pm
Evening Dinners - Grosvenor & Crowne Plaza Hotels (open to all members and families, meal costs to pay and places limited)
Provincial Grand Lodge Meeting - It is expected that ALL 155 Cheshire Lodges will be represented at the meeting, therefore each lodge is guaranteed 1 seat.
