A 23-year-old man found in Chester in possession of class A and B drugs has been jailed
Calton Xavier, of Franklin Close in Tidworth, pleaded guilty to three counts of possession with intent to supply MDMA, cannabis and cocaine. He was sentenced to four years and six months at Chester Crown Court.
On the morning of Saturday 23 September 2017 officers responded to reports Xavier was sleeping homeless in the rear yard of an Italian restaurant on Rufus Court, Northgate Street.
When officers arrived Xavier would not talk, make eye contact or communicate with them. In his possession was a large bag containing a quantity of cannabis and he was arrested.
After being searched in custody officers found more drugs in his possession.
PC William McMillan, of Chester Beat Team, said: “From the moment we saw Xavier he was reluctant to engage with us and even refused to move to the police van when he had been arrested.
“Xavier came to Chester with the intent of supplying drugs around the city. I hope this sends a message to those who think they can come here and blight our community with drugs.”
