Officers from Chester have charged a man with drugs offences following a police stop check in the city.
Daniel Smith was arrested at around 4.20pm on Monday 21 December after police stopped a white BMW on Housesteads Drive.
The 28-year-old of Housesteads Drive, has since been charged with two counts of possession with intent to supply class A drugs and one count of possession with intent to supply class B drugs.
Smith has been remanded in custody and is set to appear at Warrington Magistrates’ on Wednesday 23 December.
A 24-year-old local man was also arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class B drugs as part of the investigation. He has since been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
