A man has been charged with section 18 wounding in connection with an incident in Ellesmere Port.
Anthony Gee, of Raby Court in Ellesmere Port, has been remanded in custody.
The 45-year-old has also been charged with possession of a knife and is due to appear at Chester Magistrates’ Court on today (Friday 15 May).
The charge relates to an incident at 11.56pm on Wednesday 13 May when a 34-year-old man was seriously injured at the junction of Cambridge Road and Whitby Road.
He remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition.
A 44-year-old man who was arrested alongside Gee on Whitby Road on Wednesday 13 May has been released under investigation.
