Detectives investigating a serious assault in Ellesmere Port have now charged a man in connection with the incident.
At 5.17pm on Thursday 14 July a patrol car was flagged down by passers-by in the Westminster Road area of the town.
They informed officers that a man had been seriously assaulted.
Officers subsequently located the 18-year-old man with serious injuries in Worcester Walk.
Following enquiries, a 21-year-old man from Wirral was arrested in connection with the incident on Saturday 16 July.
Joseph Farrell, of Bridge Street, Birkenhead, has since been charged with section 18 assault, possession of a weapon in a public place, driving without a licence, driving without insurance, and handling stolen goods.
He has been remanded in custody and will appear at Chester Magistrates’ Court today, Monday 18 July.
